Default Dyna rear on my softail *pics*

Well it worked with no issues, dyna 17x4.5 rear spoke wheel with a 160 on the rear of my 05 Softail. All I had to do was replace the wheel bearings to a set of 3/4" ones. All other spacers, rotors, pulley and bolts were the same. It's a super close fit but it doesn't hit anything inside the fender even with how low I am. It's amazing how much better an extra 10mm adds to the rear. Couldn't be happier and best of all I picked the wheel/tire combo off eBay for 260 shipped I think and the bearings cost me 30. Not bad, so it's confirmed, if you have and 05 or older Softail that came stock with a rear 150/80 16, this is a quick and cheap way to add some more width to the rear end. Enjoy the pics, it looks far better in person!!

Thanks Mill, I have been trying fix this one up without spending a ton of cash, so I have kept it simple, but here soon I'm tapping into the motor to upgrade and that's where some serious cash will be spent at

I thought the wheel was from an 07 but it had the 25mm bearings installed so it had to be an 08 and up. As far as the bearings went they were just stock replacement 3/4" axle ones from drag speciality. My local custom shop did the swap since I didn't have the tool to pull the bearings so I don't know what the part number is. But it's just the standard 52mm o.d. Only other thing we did was use an old set of handlebars to cut a new spacer for the center hub. But you can also just buy one of those online or from a dealer as well.
