Hey and Length of OEM Shift Level

Hey and Length of OEM Shift Level
First real question. I've been lurking.
I've had my 1998 FLSTF , my second first Harley (previously a 883 Sportster), but I've been riding metric off an on for 30 years.
Question, I am going with a heel-to-toe shifter. The prior owner but a Ness shifter on that is 8" from center spline to center peg. I need more room and want extended levers. But what is the OEM shift lever length? All I can find are levers that state they are 1" longer than OEM, but I have no basis to determine whether the current shifter is extended and I need to go longer.
So what is the factory standard shift lever length on a 98 Fatboy? And any input on whether to go longer on the front lever and not so long on the rear? It seems like if I have long legs extending the rear lever would be awkward?
Much thanks

FWIW, the stock levers on my '12 Limited were on the order of 6 1/2" inches from center of lever to center of spine. Since I've got size 13 feet, I put extended levers on both front and rear, giving me 15" total, center to center of the front and rear.
I cannot get my feet in between stock levers, so I couldn't even safely test ride most bikes, and conversely, no one else seems to want to ride mine - and I'm OK with that.
