Default Cig lighters

Has anyone mounted one, not for cell phones but to actually light smokes? I just bought a standard softail but need a smoke at least every 30-45 minutes. Any pics of mounting locations?

i tossed this around sometime ago. only good place i could figure would be in the tin behind the forks. would have to be up and out to avoid hitting the tank when fully turned. easiest place to make the wire connections also. nice clean hole, and fluch mount the socket. i havent done it as of yet, just one of those things sloshing around in my brain...steve

Yep...it's called a "stop & take smoke break" with lighter. I don't smoke (nasty habit), but why would you want to have ashes flying around your face while riding + wouldn't wind cause the thing to burn faster??

When I smoked, I always rode and smoked.
I would pull over and light up and away I'd go.
If you cup the smoke, it burns much slower......Damn, I miss smoking......

A ridding buddy of mine once mounted a cigarette lighter designed for bikes. You stuck your cigarette into it and it would light it. He could light his cigarette and smoke while riding. I've searched everywhere for this device but cannot find it.

Look the Powerlet Handlebar mounted outlets. I have the chrome one with the ball mount but they make black and chrome with or without the mounts.

I've tried a few of the cheap lighters and had problems with fuses blowing on all of them. The tolerances were lousy and couldn't handle the vibration. The Kuryakyn one works just fine and is reasonably priced $60-$70. I'm not crazy about the looks ,but it works. Buy a small retractable lighter leash, clip it under the lighter and tie it on the element ****...keeps you from losing the lighter element.
