Softail Slim air cleaner

Softail Slim air cleaner
I need a spot of help. I'm putting a Softail Slim round "bobber style" air cleaner on my Street Bob.
Unfortunately all Aussie Softail models have the same oval style air cleaner, so my dealer is having a hard time finding one of the part numbers in his US catalogue.
We have the correct backing plate, seal, filter element, screws and breather pipes, but the outer cover we ordered doesn't fit and looks like its for the '72, not a Twin Cam.
If anyone can help me out with a part number I would be very appreciative.
The part is the gloss black outer air cleaner cover for US model Slims.
And it's not part number 61300128, that's what we have.
Hope someone can help!

The problem is. 61300128 definitely doesn't fit onto that base plate. The bike model isn't important.
Something is afoot. Maybe a typo in the guidebook is all I can think of. I think the book incorrectly references the similar looking cover that fits the 72, which is a different part number.

Yeah ta. Part of the confusion seems to be where the air inlet holes are.
The plastic base plate I have, which is supposed to be from a US model FLS, has three rectangular holes which are about 1 inch square, facing forward on the plastic base plate itself. This is it on a US model Slim:
The black painted metal cover I have looks like the one in the GMA book where there is a long rectangle gap about 3 inches long facing forward and down on the cover plate, NOT the plastic base plate. It seems to be for a base plate with the square intake tube on the front like this:
As you can see the one in the GMA is not the one actually on the US bike.

The black painted metal cover I have looks just very much like the ne in your signature picture where the the air hole is one long rectangle about 3 inches long facing forward and down on the cover plate, NOT the plastic base plate (and they don't line up with the holes on my base plate)..
Then the one in the GMA Book has an inch long square plastic tube poking out the lower front of the plastic backing plate which acts as the air intake hole.
It looks like there must be at least three different types of these "bobber" filters out there. Possibly some are for overseas markets (Europe?).
Maybe the problem is I have the wrong base plate not the wrong cover.

For starters, on mine, the metal cover is solid all around - there are no openings in it at all.
And the one in the catalog mentions the Stage 1 A/C kit, even though it says it will fit the stock base, even though it clearly isn't the same as stock.
Here's mine:

Thanks so much man. that confirms it.
It seems I have the correct base and filter. The GMA book must be wrong about that part number fitting the FLS. I will get him to track down the part number for your OEM cover.
Then wait another 4 weeks. Apparently express mail isnt used by harley P&A.

There has to be somebody with a stock cover they'd be willing to part with...
