Default 10' Chubby question

Hey, I am searching for replacement mini apes. 5'10 with somewhat short arms so looking for something with 10+ pullback. I like the look of the Chubby Wild 1's and was thinking of the 10' height with WO525 1.5' riser. I should not need more than the 11.5' pullback the bar already has. I prefer my hands to be at or slightly below shoulder level. Which why I am choosing the 10', might consider the 12.5'.

My question is from looking at the picture on there site, it appears the bars curve up to where the grips will be higher than the high curve of the bar. I would like the grips to be at level or below the higher curve of the bar. Such as with the Carlini's Flying apes, the grips are at level with the high curve of the bar. My current 12in apes they curve down to the grip.

Was wondering if I can get a good picture from the side or rear of how the bars look. Also if anyone is using the 1.5' risers and overall how they like the setup. I know from readying other threads on here that Chubby has a good rep. This will be going on a Fatboy Lo.

Thanks.

I think they will be too wide for your liking,

I am same height with regular to long arms and they stretch me a bit.

You can just angle the bars in the risers so that you have the appropriate amount of pull back to ensure your comfort.

Yup and to what Hogpro said, you can see on my bike side shot in my sig hw they pullback with 1.5" RSD risers that has them now.

One thing I forgot to mention, Wild1 recommends 'top clamp' to be one piece, or else bars may crack and shock of all shocks, my mechanic showed me one bar that was really cracked in half because the owner used two separate top clamps (like my setup sadly).

We tried to compensate by using sold mounting bushings to minimize bar movement, but I think I will switch these bars eventually, my experience in the short time I spent with them last month is that they are too wide and they make me feel like a sail in the wind, maybe OK for baggers but not for softails that has minimal front protection like mine.

I am 5' 10" also and I have the 14" Wild1 Chubbys with 1.5" riser. They fit me real good tho I do have longer arm spand, they are wide but a real nice bar, I should of put them on my old Fatboy years ago. Not sure how good you can see them in sig pic, its still under the cover so can't get any close ups for you.

I am currently running the Santee low bonanza which are 32" wide, the Chubby are 36" wide. Thanks for the tip KLF, with my arm span I think I will have a issue with the width.

going to look at the HD 12" mini apes and the Carlini 12" again which are 34.5" width but are a lot more expansive.

thanks all.
