I bought a carburated 04 Fatboy with the intention of changing the tins, (the price was right). I found a tin set for a 03 carburated fatboy. Does anyone know if these fenders & tank will fit the 04?
I know there is a difference in the fuel float & fuel guage. Can I just get a fuel float & guage for an 03 and make it work? What will it take to make it work? Does anyone have a guage & float they want to sell? Part Numbers?

Any help is appricated.

 

The tins should fit fine, I am pretty sure the '03 gauges won't work with the '04 electrics. I would suggest you try fitting the '04 gauges to the '03 tins, I am no expert, but I can't see why they wouldn't fit. Prolly someone in here has done this.

 

The 03 has an opening under the fuel guage for the float? (I Think). The 04 has a 10 screw acess pannel / float assy. cover located under the dash.
