Default Cables and wires for 16" apes

I know this question has been asked before and I'm sorry for asking again, but...

I bought la choppers tree huggers miter cut 16" apes. I'm assuming the risers are around 1/2" or 1". So, what length cables and wires do I need? And what brand is everyone using? Thanks guys

I used Magnum Shielding cables (top quality). I went + 10 on everything for my 16 " Carlini
Gangsters. I think +8 would have been a better choice. I have a little extra slack, it doesn't look bad but I like the cables close and tight as possible.

I did +8" when I put my 16" bars on my Heritage. they worked out perfect. The best way to tell is to mock up the new bars and run some string in the route your new cabels will go, measure string, order new cables. Another way is to measure the height of your current bars compared to your new bars and find the differance, this will not be as acurate but it will work, I always go off the middle of the risers with the bike upright for this. Magnum shielding makes high quality lines and I've never been disapointed with their quality or customer service.

And another question, since I have black bars, should I stay with black lines or go with chrome or stainless?

That's up to you and what you think would look best. Would you really want to take advice on the way your bike is going to look from someone that has never seen it before? The best thing you can do is go look through the night train pictures thread and see what others have done and what look you like the most.

Mine were +10" on my Fatboy with Burly 16" Apes. It's going to depend on the bike and the brand of apes. Also, +1 on the magnum shielding cables. Worth the extra money for sure.
