Where to find complete front ends

I would be very careful buying a front end from ebay. I personally inspected a salvage yard full of motorcycles prior to an auction. Most of the bikes had damaged/bent front ends. In some cases, the bikes looked almost perfect, but; when I looked at the gas tank there was a dimple in the tank where the front end bent back. It is a royal pain to re-title a salvage bike, but; they are a gold mine in parts. Much of that business is now on the internet.
I saw quite a few front ends on ebay. I was looking for a springer at one time. Once I realized where these were coming from and how subtle the damage might be, I dropped that idea fast.
My 2c, is buy the whole bike right the way you want it. If you change your mind, sell the whole bike and buy another one - Way ahead in the long run.
(I am new to H-D but learning fast)
