Default What pads with DNA rotors?

So I've been trying to track down a terrible howl coming from the front brake this year, I didn't have it with the stock rotor and pads. I installed DNA Mammoths and their spoke rotor and with the stock pads on it's howling coming to a stop.

To rectify this I took the stock pads off, sanded them on a flat surface with 320 grit to try and level them out and used some brake quiet stuff and still present. I ensured I had all the bolts were properly torqued down.

I bought a set of EBC Double H sintered pads and installed them today but haven't tried them to see if they still make noise or not but I'm hoping this stops it.

What pads are you guys running though?

Damn, so I will assume the sintered and stock pads are causing the howl? I haven't ruined the rotor have I?

I wouldn't say they are ruined, but regular pads are scratching them causing the noise, they may not look as good if you originally had the organic pads, but still should be good to use

No ****. That'd been nice to know when I ordered. Oh well I ordered lyndall z+ pads from Dennis Kirk last night should be here Wednesday. The odd thing is the rear doesn't make any noise at all

Hahaha funny thing I was running into the same thing and rear makes no noise for me. Glad you posted it. Never knew that the organics where for the polished rotors.

Lyndall pads made the difference. Got em in today and installed them, good thing I did because I found my pulley bolts all loose. Apparently you need to follow the torque sequence and loctite them. Dodged a bullet there, but that's another story.

Either way no more howl when I stop and much better stopping power.
