Default fatboy front wheel swap?

Was wondering if the 2010 fatboy screaming eagle front rim will fit my 2005 fatboy? I thinks rhe axle size is different, but if I replace bearings and use original axle would it work? Fender mods, offset? Any help advise would be great thanks.

Probably going to have to replace the spacers too.. the 2005 comes with a 90mm front tire, whereas the 2010 comes with a 140, right? But i think the forks are the same and have the same width, so you'll probably be able to fit it.. as far as the fender, i dont know about that one.

Thanks, wouldn't be able to use the stock spacers and axle when I swap the bearings over in rim? The rim should be the same size (hub). ?

You might have to change the lower legs - axle is a different size. You will have to change bearings for sure - since now you have 25mm and you'll need 3/4. Also the offset changed in 2003 to allow wider tire (i think)... Plus there's the hub... Ain't it different?

For the 07 and newer spacers the part numbers for left and right respectively are 41695-07 and 41502-07.

For 00-06 part numbers are 43617-00 and 43683-00. They are different. The axle on teh '10 is 25mm, 3/4" on the 00-06. I am not sure if teh hub on teh wheel is the same size or not. You will also have to get a 3/4" crush tube for in between the bearings. I am sure it cane be done but the spacers may need to be longer or milled down a little bit.

That's all I can come up with.

Agree with hog pro. You'll have a hard time fitting the crush tube. A lot of messing around plus it may not be save if you have to shave too much off and stuff. I mean they are the specific size for a reason.

Thanks for all the input guys. Couldn't pass up the deal for the wheels though. Took it apart tonight.... looks like I'm going to put 3/4 bearings in it and use 05 stock spacer on right side & stock 2010 cvo spacer on left side for proper caliper clearance. Wheel is perfectly centered & true! Will post picks tomorrowwhen its mmounted. Thanks again!
