As you're rolling up to a stop, snick it in to neutral from first. Is what works for me.

I usually bump the bike forward in first gear a couple inches and it goes right into neutral

I noticed a big improvement after running redline shockproof trans fluid.. Any cycle gear should have it.

Change the clutch juice if you haven't already.

It takes practice. But always from first up. Could very well be the clutch since it is always adjusted cold so it is correct when hot. So if it is dragging just a tad when hot, it can tend to ****** it in second. You also could be spinning the throw out bearing when sitting in neutral with the lever out which will cause a lot of problems. Be sure it's right if you have not checked it lately and start at derby cover.

Need more info. How many miles are on the bike? Have you had the bike a while or is it new to you? If you have had it did this just start all of a sudden? Has it been worked on lately? How old is the tranny and primary fluids? It is the original clutches and pressure plates? You may find it is easier to grab neutral when rolling too. By that I mean, as an example, as soon as I hit my driveway as its rolling I grab neutral from 1st gear so I can shut the bike off and coast on into my garage. Give it a try.
