Is peeling or flaking chrome covered by Warranty?

Is peeling or flaking chrome covered by Warranty?
On my 2012, I have a couple of areas around the handle bars where the chrome is beginning to flake off. Is that covered until the warranty? I also purchased the extended warranty.

Under warranty yes if it happened on its own and not from any other object ie. tool causing the damage.

It may specify in the policy that it is covered, BUT, the actual replacement only happens IF the dealer or MOCO agrees that it occured on its own.

Yes, it is covered. I just had my derby cover replaced under warranty due to bad chrome .
