Breakout + ShotgunShock = Winning!

I paid the $1350.00 promo from last year for ours and even at that price it is still a steal for the BEST ride you can get for a Softail!!!

I only have about 40 miles on it with the shotgun installed. I did scrape the primary side yesterday riding it all the way down. It rides real rough this way. I usually ride it about 1" higher. It is smoother at that height than my Blackline was, I suspect because of the big cushy seat.

Well of course, how could it not? You do realize when I say slammed I mean the height in the pictures? That is sitting on the factory bump stops. no shock can help you at that point.

Nice bike. I was wanting to trade my FXS in for one but the payments were out of range for me. Tough being poor.
About the shocks...I looked at their website and some of the videos and I can see where they want that much for them. But it seems more like a "toy" part on the bike, like those cars that have hydro shocks. I mean toy because it's something to play with. I'm not going to cruise the local Sonic or Buger King with my bike lowered and I don't weigh 400lbs. to make it higher. So for me, it's unnecessary as hell. After all, who's going to know you have them, unless they ride with you or you show them how your bike can go up and down? I'll just keep my stock shocks and save myself a ton of money, that I don't have to behind with.

There have actually been pictures of several Breakout's with a 1-2" drop on progressive 422's in this forum and several other forums .

The benefit of the ShotgunShock is being able to adjust the ride for all conditions. You want to take a long road trip? Set the suspension high and soft. Want to go and carve some turns? Tighten it up. Want to go cruise it and like how it looks low, slam it. Want to bring a passenger? Lift it up and firm it up.
I find myself constantly adjusting the ride based on road conditions, etc.
