Is 37K high mileage for a Heritage?
Hi Folks! I want to get a Heritage and am looking at an 05 with 37k miles. It has been modified with a 103 motor and EFI which concerns me but is otherwise in good shape. Has alot of chrome etc. It's going for 10.9k. What do you think? This

I just came back from a trip with our 07 and she just turned over 45K where I think she just Keeps running better every yr.
It's not the miles that I'd be concerned about, its how she's been rode and taken care of. U cant neglect any bike maintenance and expect them keep going.
I didn't think the motor on our bike was broken really good in till 25K as I could feel her running better/stronger every yr for the first 3yrs.
Properly taken care of I think a Harley can go 100k or more easy. Then do the top end and go another 100 when needed.
Even if she needs a little work on her, the money U'll save buying used VS new will alone will give U a lot of money to make mods to her.
On our trip last week to the Tail of the Dragon I talked to 3 guys that had over 120K on their 88''ers. All 3 said they changed out to Gear cams to solve the Cam tennsioner worry and 1 said he had to replace his stator twice, the other two say they just keep going and going.
The average rider in here seems to only put about 5k a yr on their bikes, so IMO U'll have 10-12 yrs before U'd have 100K on the bike U looking at if U ride the average miles.
Good luck finding Ur bike and ride safe when U do get one.
