Default Is 37K high mileage for a Heritage?

Hi Folks! I want to get a Heritage and am looking at an 05 with 37k miles. It has been modified with a 103 motor and EFI which concerns me but is otherwise in good shape. Has alot of chrome etc. It's going for 10.9k. What do you think? This

I would say closer to $10K for that bike but no, it sounds about right mileage wise. My 04 has much more than that.

37K miles isn't a lot if the motor has been properly cared for. But yeah, the bike is 8 years old, I'd offer $9.5k and go from there.

37k is nothing on that bike. My 06 Heritage has over 80k on the original engine and am still riding it on road trips. I plan on getting 100k before I do a top end on it.

I just came back from a trip with our 07 and she just turned over 45K where I think she just Keeps running better every yr.

It's not the miles that I'd be concerned about, its how she's been rode and taken care of. U cant neglect any bike maintenance and expect them keep going.

I didn't think the motor on our bike was broken really good in till 25K as I could feel her running better/stronger every yr for the first 3yrs.

Properly taken care of I think a Harley can go 100k or more easy. Then do the top end and go another 100 when needed.

Even if she needs a little work on her, the money U'll save buying used VS new will alone will give U a lot of money to make mods to her.

On our trip last week to the Tail of the Dragon I talked to 3 guys that had over 120K on their 88''ers. All 3 said they changed out to Gear cams to solve the Cam tennsioner worry and 1 said he had to replace his stator twice, the other two say they just keep going and going.

The average rider in here seems to only put about 5k a yr on their bikes, so IMO U'll have 10-12 yrs before U'd have 100K on the bike U looking at if U ride the average miles.

Good luck finding Ur bike and ride safe when U do get one.

My 07 has 65k on it and it runs greak. Just keep the Extended Warranty/Service Plan and have no worries

I have an 09 Heritage with 30K on it now, as said before as long as it is taken care of it will go forever. I am not a big fan of upgraded motors though, these bikes run fine and forever from the factory. Add HP = added $$ and problems, just like a woman! LOL

It all depends on what has been done to it. I put 80K on my 02 fatboy but upgraded most everything along the way. Cam chain tensioners are the first possible issue on a bike of that year range.
