No need to do that.

Cut the wires off inside the hand controls and cap them. Then look under the front of the tank near the neck on the right side. There is a 6 pin connector there that is unused. 3 pins are for the right signal, and 3 are for the left. Stop by a dealer and you can get new pins and the other half of that connector so it all just plugs right in. I will get the part numbers for you and put them here in a few minutes.

The connector housing is part # 73156-96BK
The pins that go on each wire are part # 73191-96
You need 1 of the first number, and 6 of the second.

I didn't even realize I had already posted this info in the thread.

wadejesu, I am still wondering what you would do if you ever went to remove your handlebars? I guess you would have to cut the signal wiring and splice it all over again.

Anyone have the part # or an idea who makes the front signal bracket that mounts them near the ABS housing

I know I'm bring this thread back from the dead, but I have a quick question. I'm assuming that the 6 wire from the clip on the stand BO go up to the signals on the handlebars, is that correct? And if so, can you pull those wires out of the handlebars and use them to relocate the signals on the forks? Instead of running new wires or making a new clip.

The signals on the bars have very short wires that are soldered into the hand controls. The conector under the tank is open and unused on the Breakout. It is there for other bikes like the Deluxe that have the signals down lower.

Copy all. So where do the wires in the clip run?

yup....my 07 night train has the connector there also . I guess HD figured they could use the main harness to the bar switches to power the flashers.....bypassing that under tank connector .
