What do you do with your motorcycle helmet when you park?

 

If I don't have a tour pack to put it in, I take it with me. Even if you lock it on the bike, too many a-holes like to leave souvenirs, like cigarette butts that haven't been put out. And squirrels like to dig into the insulation - guess how I know that...

 

I leave mine on the seat. Anybody really wants a smelly old half helmet that somebody else has worn is welcome to it. Then, I'd have an excuse to buy a new one.

 

Hang it off the handle bars along with my jacket and gloves; I live in south Texas.

 

I hang mine on the right side hiway peg. Right side so it is higher off ground. I agree with yzergod, anybody wants it that bad they can have it.

 

I hang mine over the clutch lever, wife hangs hers on the highway peg.
Never had any issues.

If the bike is going to be out of sight for a long period of time, we'll lock them in the tourpak if there's room.

 

I have a helmet lock on the left side front down tube. Hang my helmet on the shift lever and lock it to the tube. Wouldn't trust leaving my jacket on the bike. Gloves I throw in the swingarm bag

 

Use to lay it on my heel shifter/floorboard. Recent months I just put it on my console.

 

If I think I'm in a high-risk area, I'll mostly run a cable through the helmet which also goes through the frame, or lock it up by putting a cheap padlock through the D-rings and locking it to a spoke, or some other part that's small enough to put the padlock around.

If some stroke wants to cut the strap to get a helmet which will then be almost useless to them, I'll probably just have a good laugh. The joke's on them!

 

In a place where I am comfortable leaving it with the bike I hang it on the sissy bar. It's a full face so it holds nicely with the bar through the face hole without causing impressions to the inside padding. If I don't leave it like that then I simply carry it with me (gloves inside helmet either way).
