Can't do anything, it's STILL in the shop and now I'm REALLY pissed off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They narrowed it down (supposedly) to balance shafts. Dropped it off Sept 5th for it's Sept 10th appointment. They got the go ahead on Sept 18 to do the work. I was in the dealership Thursday Oct 1 and was told the shafts are "black flagged, back ordered". Indefinite delivery.
I called today (Oct 7) and was told they "may" show up around Oct 24
WTF ???????????
ARE THERE NO BALANCE SHAFTS ANYWHERE IN THE HARLEY DAVIDSON WORLD ?????????????????????
They didn't give me an air freight option even WHICH I'd had gladly paid for !!!!!!!!!!
So that now means that my bike will have been at the dealer for 2 months.
Do they not actually stock parts at a warehouse?
Is an '09 soo old it's obsolete ?

I got park brake cables for my antiquated 1972 DATSUN quicker, right from Japan, than I can get parts for a common, North American manufactured vehicle, what the hell is going on ?!?!?!?!?!
I called the Canadian phone number day before yesterday to find out what was going on and the guy made it seem like I was bothering him which pissed me off. Yesterday I first called my warranty girl who's dealing with my claim and got the Oct 24th date, then I called Milwaukee and got transferred back to Canada.
I'm to the point I'll just wait till it's fixed then sell mine AND hers and go buy 2 Victory's or Indian's ?
yeah they have them, in another bike that they don't want to take out for you cause of a potential sale of the bike they are on..customer service my ***!
I've seen a few people do it here and liked the results, at least from the photos. Today my Deluxe seat came in so... I retooled the mounting bracket so I could mount it with the grab rail to my Slim S. Verdict is still out. I have some polish to do on the mounting bracket, thinking of wrapping it in a leather bib/glove for a better look but the proof of concept was done tonight and it works.
Also a simple mod, drill a hole in the license plate bracket and turn the removable plate vertical, then reattach it with the screw, and remount your plate.
last night at my friends shop we installed a fuel moto micro tuner, an arlen ness big sucker air cleaner and a set of v&h short shots. today i added the back seat and backrest. the look of the bike is changing
