I have 10,700 miles on that stock seat since October 15th last year. I personally don't have a problem with it. I do have another stock seat that the p.o. had gel added to that I may use for this trip.

I have done up to 600 miles a day before, but have never shot for a full 1,000. I am sure I will feel it either way.

I wonder how you manage to ride 600 mls a day. If I ride country roads - and I'm not a slow rider - I average 35 mph. 600 mls would total more than 17 hrs riding time w/o stops for a coffee or fueling up....

Not 600 miles every day. Jesus that would be nuts and would equal more mileage in a year. Most days with work and all I ride about 30-40 miles.

We shoot down the road around 85-90 most of the time. and when you factor in fuel stops it cuts your average MPH to about 60-65. I have done 10-12 hour days just a couple of times. On most trips we try to average 400 miles a day as that gives you plenty of time and rest.

And you can be snarky about it all you want. I am not proving anything to you, just stating the facts. I have never done more than a 600 mile day so the 1k in 24 hours is going to be tough, but I have enough miles in that seat to know what it feels like, and that was what the original comment was about.

Dang, I bet those 48H cams run out quick in a 103 with 3.15:1 final drive. Probably very torquey...if that's a word

Thanks! It's a bag that holds my cell, gloves, hat and some other small stuff.

Danm, that back tire won't last long now. Not that they probably did before.
