Default Extended Forward Controls For Breakout

Got my bike back with the had kit installed. Awesome upgrade and looks good. Sure feels like I am stretched out now. Way better.

I would't think so but I'm no pro powder coater. I'd look for someone to remake the factory line in black plus the extra length you need or you could always cover the Ness line with some heat shrink tubing. Can't believe that Ness doesn't offer the lines in black or chrome...

Maybe I can get the hard parts done then put heat shrink on the flexable part like Jeff just said. I'm not in a hurry to get it on so I will look into what I can do.

Guess how I discovered that
I decided to do the hard part first. I have disconnected the brake line and am getting ready to bolt the banjo fitting to the ABS pump. Probably a stupid question. Did you reuse the factory washer with the copper washers? Or just use the copper ones?

I couldn't wait to get anything powder coated. I just had to get started. I took my exhaust off to get to the ABS pump. I have the Big Radius pipes. They were easy to get off.

Yep - just use the copper washers included with the Ness brake line.

Got the banjo fitting bolted up to the ABS and ran the line to the front of the bike. What a pain in the butt but that was. At least the hard part is done. I 'll put the bracket on tomorrow after work. I put the fender and exhaust back on. I'm done for today. I got a late start. I went riding this morning and didn't even plan on doing this today. Rained all afternoon and got bored and started.

Got the brackets, linkage and lines all on. I wish the brake line were bent like the factory lines in the front. Maybe get one made down the road. Need to put my exhaust shields back on and bleed the brakes.
Thanks for all your help NSR (don't know your name).

Glad I could help.

You know... I'm going to look into modding the factory rear brake lever. I'd rather have a peg to match the shifter. If a replacement is cheap I'm going to do it. Cut, grind, weld and then off to be re-chromed.... easy-peezy.

Anyone out there have a take-off they want to sell?

Finally got the brakes bled. I never turned the switch on the bike from taking off the first bolt until I bled the brakes. No ABS light. Did a little test of hitting the back brake hard and worked fine.
It is a big difference with the pegs out 3 inches. I like it. I felt like my knees were to high riding before. The mod is worth the money (expensive to just move your feet/legs out).
Thanks for the help! Would have been a little harder without being able to read and learn from this thread/board.
