Iam about to pull the trigger on the rear DNA mammoth wheel 16x3.5 going on 05 Deluxe rear I have a 21x3.5 on the front with the progressive drop in that lowered it 2 inches in the front I like how the bike sits now it has the stock Dunlop D402 just curious if there is a better tire out there that is close to the same size my problem is I dont know how to read all the numbers and letters on the tires thanks

I am doing some research and hoping for answers from those with 'shotgun' drop as well.. basicly you got WWW from Metz, Avon Cobra and the Gangsters (Avon).
the sizes are 130x90 or 140/90 or 150/80 ... the first number is the width of the tire in millemeters. the second is precentag of that width in height.. so 150x80 .. is 150 mm width .. 80% of that for the height, so the height would be 120 mm.

I was wondering if I move to the 140x90 that means the height of my tire is going to be 126 (6 mm or 1/4 of inch higher) would that cause the rear fender to rub on the tire when dropped ?

The gangsters look AWESOME but they have this terrible center groove that people say tracks on every thin on the road and not fun.. the Cobra's has great reputation on the rain, the Metz have their own fan base.. I gotta say I am looking at all them and not decided yet.

I have had very good luck with the stock Dunlop in the back ang getting good wear out of it

I just put a 16x3.5 DNA fat spoke on my rear stock on my Deluxe. Looks good to me.

 

I just ordered those and will be put end of this week while bike comes out of hibernation . Mechanic recommended them for best wet handling against the gangsters who look great but not a good utility
