Default 250 rear tire

I am wondering if anyone knows if a 250 will fit on the rear of a 2007 fxst (softtail standard) replacing the stock 200. I am looking for a little fatter look but don't want to change the rear fender. thanks

Putting a 250 on a standard would require new fender/swingarm/spacing of the belt by off setting the tranny, etc. Major operation. I know this because in the 90's when this was the big craze, a lot of folks was doing it and working out the problems/mechanics of doing so.

You might be able to fit a 180, if you are running a 150. I don't remember the stock size for the standard in 2007. Even running a 180 may take respacing the wheel.

stock rear tire is a 200, so a 250 shouldn't be that much bigger. but sounds like a major headache to me may stick with the 200 for now thx

Look at a 200 and a 250 side by side. BIG difference

You would need a wider wheel (18x8.5) a wider swingarm, primary offset transmission pulley wider fender etc etc. Heartland kit is the best way to to do this and then you need to buy a wheel as well. Figure around $5000 for everything needed plus paint for the fender.
