Default Thoughts on Pirelli Night Dragon tires?

I have an 02 Fat Boy with custom rims(18") and a Metzler 880 on back and want to keep it. I was thinking of going with a Night Dragon for the front. I was considering metzler, avon also.
I was told as long as both tires were radials it would be fine.
I don't put a lot of mileage on my bike so would give up life of tire for grip.

I've got the Night Dragons on my Street Glide. I'm really happy with them. They grip and wear well. I'm going to put them on my Train when the Commander II's wear out.

Youn can do anything but you won't maximize the handling of the NightDragons. I love mine and the first ride home I had a smile on my face all the way. What a difference over the stock Dunlops.

Read the latest issue of American Iron... there's a review in there.

I been using them for the last few years, no complaints, much better grip than OEM.

I had them on my 95 FXDL and right now my 05 Fat boy is at the shop getting a set put on. I love the way the handle....no more issues with tar snakes or metal decked bridges!!

Did you not like the Commander II's? I was about to put them on my bike. I have read the Night Dragons don't last long 6000 to 7000.

The bias/radial argument is null and void in my book. We sell wheels and tires here. That is our business. We have sold hundreds of sets of wheels with bias and radial without issue. Sometimes it's bias front radial rear, sometimes it is the opposite. I have run mismatched tires for years without issue as well.

There are a lot of marketing ploys related to tires and wheels and there is a lot of a lot of bad information out there. We are such that if a customer has an issue with something and lets us know we take the time to try and figure out what has caused the issue and if it is something could cause a problem we will not sell the product, whatever it is.

A good example is a 200/50/18 rear tire on a newer bagger. It fits on the wheel and fits under the fender without issue however several customers complained of a wobble at high speed. We tested it out and did not feel unsafe but stopped selling this combination due to the possibility of an issue.

As far as Night Dragon's, I have never personally run them on any of my bikes but from what I read them sound like great tires. For my current bike which is a bagger this tire is not what I need.
