Great Post,, Thanks it answer alot of question from myself and I'm sure others. I guess the only thing to do now is order. I will also be looking for the parts for plug and play from HD.

 

Double check with the HD parts website to ensure it will fit however.....I'm making an assumption based on you already ensuring it showed up as fitting a Breakout.

 

Can I ask how long it took for them to ship? I ordered about two weeks ago and cant get ahold of anyone.

 

Can't remember, a couple weeks though. Their Customer Service sucks as does there website. If you search carefully there is a phone number somewhere on the page but when I searched last time it took about 20 mins to find a phone number. Response by email was useless btw....don't waste your time.

 

Chrome Glow or Custom Dynamics...can't decide.

 

Didn't know Custom Dynamics made one, interesting. Now I have to that ****!

EDIT: So I Googled it......here are my impressions, not that anyone cares: Custom Dynamics Breakout Light Bar

Pros:

1) Way way better installation instructions
2) All wiring it integrated (w/ the Chrome Glow you need to buy the extra harness and wire the two together)
3) If you're a chrome ***** you'll love it

Cons:

1) It's a horizontal billet light and doesn't contour with the curves of the fender
2) It's chrome, so unless you color match paint it it's gonna stick out like a sore thumb
3) It's $180.00 bucks

Curious to see a bike with one installed as a comparison.

 

First I've seen of the billet version...not my style. They also have a flexible version like Chrome Glow.

 

Ya I don't care for the billet chrome look either. Below that link I posted is a stick on plastic light (not flexible) that attaches to the reflector bracket which is even more ugly ()

I didn't see a Breakout specific flexible LED btw.....

 

It used to be a lot more obvious on their site, if I remember correctly. It's all good...appreciate the in depth post on the Chrome Glow option.

 

I did try calling the number from the packaging on the picture you posted. No response on the weekend. Will try on Monday. Another question I had was, will you be taking off the factory turn signals and only use the LEDs now?
