not possible? sounds like quittin words to me.

you can have it wrapped in chrome vinyl, and it is impossible to tell the difference.

I've been told that is really hard to chrome the tank 'cause of the fuel pump ( if I remember well) and the risk of rust inside. In fact also the factory made CVO tanks/fenders are mirror polished and immediately painted and clear coated to avoid tarnishing. I considered wrapping but I'm rather "traditional" in methods and even though more pricey I'd prefer mirror polished parts. Moreover black flames with thin orange pinstriped profiles would be much impressive. Then I'll add the 2013 CVO Road Glide emblems which are going to be chromed instead of keeping them stock satin finished. That's my project...I don't like easy things!

Nostradamus74 I love the stock wheels in chrome and the Blackline console. Microdoted has it right, do the tank and fenders. That is exactly what I was thinking. There must be a way to do the tank. Maybe they just have to chrome it inside and out?

Two examples:

- The oil tank on the Breakout is also different than on a normal Softail, in order to allow higher suspension travel on the lower than normal Breakout. The only CHROME version oil tank that will fit is the CVO Breakout oil tank, which is chrome from the factory for the CVO.

As far as buckles I have not seen this one anywhere except in the catalog. Tryed both amazona and e-bay will try again but this one has a boarder around it so should stick ok with slight moding. I will give it a week after that the CVO emblems go on.

Besides you wearing sunglasses, you will be responable to pass out sunglasses for all you may pass so they can see after you pass. Or is this your way of getting to the party before everyone else....blind them and you will be in front???

I'm working something with them as well.........it will be a few months however before my stuff comes to fruition, but when it does, its gonna BLOW YOUR MIND, ok well maybe not, but it will be something nobody else has done to a Breakout!

I'm not sure how hard it would be to get a tank bare metal polished and then clear coated. I'm guessing the hard part is controlling the humidity to prevent any rust residue. Other than that, a lot of elbow grease. Go for it, it'll be cool.
