As long as your bike is can bus, the Breakout speedo should work. The mileage is stored in the bcm, not the speedo. However, you may need to get a new speedo, not a used one because it is possible they are "locked" after a certain mileage.

I'm not totally versed in Harley. I have a 2011 Fatboy Lo.
Do you know if it is?

Nothing wrong with that.
I'm pre-Alzheimer's myself, and I found it has its advantages.
- I meet "new' people every day
- There's no such thing as a re-run on TV
- and this AM, I got to hide my own Easter eggs...

Kinda like being hard of hearing.
While the OL always bitches that I need to get hearing aids, I consider it a blessing...

Look at the diagnostic connector, I think it is under the seat. If it is a 4 wire connector then it is not can bus, if there is a 6 wire connector it is.

I am not saying this will for sure work as I have never tired it, but if the connectors line up, and it is a can bus system, I would bet it will.

5" depending on the bike looks too large IMO. I prefer the 4" but if you can get them to make a 5" that's awesome for those interested.

I have a 2011 Fatboy Lo and I swapped out speedos for the lighted version. I'd like the breakout styled one, too.

But yes, it did hold onto my mileage after the swap.
