Pilots have been using them for years why not us. Thy have windshield screens why not helmet .

 

 

No way can you begin to compare airspace to a traffic situation. Plus, all this technology will do is distract the wearer from his/her driving.

 

Oh boy...more ways to not pay attention to what's in front of me. I'll pass.

 

Next we will have blind spot sensors on our shoulders to catch the ones coming up from behind us. They will give you a little red light in your helmet on which ever side they are on. Don't forget the backup camera and sensors that go beep beep beep my xxx.

 

I think it's an awesome idea to be able to not take your eyes from in front of you to ck mirrors and speedo and whatever else you keep an eye on. I read that at 60mph when you look down to ck your speedo like on my fatboy you've traveled 85'. Couldn't see myself wearing a full coverage helment though but I would give it a try as a beta tester.

 

We're so technologically wired in this house, I have a home-built PC with three 24" monitors, wireless routers, another hub downstairs, the OL has a laptop and a smartphone, the kid built his own desktop PC w/ 2 monitors, neon, 2 video cards with water cooling, plus he's got XBoxes and Playstations up the ***, I have all that and a tablet. Even the house entertainment system & 55" Sony in the LR are wired to the internet.. We got DirecTV, NetFlix, Chromecast, and all the bells and whistles - both me and the kid were in IT.

Because god forbid you miss a phone call or a text. I ride to get away from all that crap. I don't think people today are even capable of being alone in their own heads for more than 2 seconds. It used to be riders complaining about distracted drivers, now they are joining the ranks.
