OK jixer, let's have the road....I am with iron horse...give it up

I am on South side of Clear Lake and it is an hour ride to the first curve that is not an on/off ramp. Three hours to the first hill.

Try riding from Las Vegas back to San Diego....did that with my stock seat. It was after that trip that I purchased a new solo seat and haven't look back!

I was born in Sarasota, FL.............just a short drive from Naples. If you ever go to Sarasota, to down to St. Armand's Circle and Siesta Key, amazing beaches and sites!

Thanks for all the replies. It's been a lot of fun and I keep asking myself why the hell I waited so long.

I went down to the dealer yesterday and spoke with the service manager. The guy seemed real friendly (they all appear to be great people) and we talked for about a half hour. It was close to closing time and he didn't seem rushed at all. He said that when I'm ready to do anything to sit with him and he can go over all the options...both factory and aftermarket stuff.

I got new mirrors and a solo swingarm bag on the way...so I guess it has started.

The first long ride is always a blast! Like someone else mentioned, the longer you ride the better it gets - you start to realize you are becoming "one" with the bike and the road.. You'll never forget the first time you find that moment.

This! I'm going to guess it is in the area between houston, conroe and navasota. There are a lot of nice roads through the Sam Houston National Forest and then up the back roads to near Navasota.

Also, I can't wait, I'm riding Three Sisters this June when I'm down there for a week of vacation.

funny you mention that...on my way back from the dealer yesterday I was on the highway and felt that. It's only a 10 mile ride...but the traffic was lite and I felt connected to the bike. Really is a great feeling.

Ah such a tease! Inquiring minds want to know the road! Best I've found are the three sisters (RR335, 336, 337).

Oh hill country roads are awesome! I thought you meant around Houston, which isn't a whole lot...
