I just bought a Heritage with the true dual and I too am getting my inner leg burnt. At the moment I'm wearing a pleather pad around my knee to protect myself. I plan to have the ceramic paint applied. If that doesn't lower the temp enough I'll probably lower the bike. I'm only 5'2" so that might be a good idea anyway.

I have them on my Springer. I simply don't put my left leg back that far when stopping. No big deal. I also NEVER wear shorts when riding. A non issue for me. I can see that it may only be an issue for the vertically challenged.

I learned when I was kid and dumped a bike with left exhaust that wearing shorts while riding wasn't cool. I still have the ugly scar and I always wear pants now. I have never had any issues with the Deluxe and my duals but I'm also 6'2 and very aware of where the hot spots are.

people have sued McDonlamds because they spilled hot coffee on themselves. I guess you can sue V&H for making pipes that get hot.

Hmmmmm I guess if it's a consistant issue you could sew an old ironing board cover on the inside of your jean's left leg.

In this case it might even be better to staple it directly to the leg
