Default Forward controls on a Crossbones

Well I swapped out my MOCO floorboards form my 09 Crossbones for a set of 07 Night train FWD controls. The swap was really only about a 45 minute swap including taking the boards of and putting the new controls on. Im 6' 2" and for my 200 mile commute the boards just were no longer comfortable once I lowered my riding position with the badlander seat.

Here are the after pics because every one has seen a semi bone stock crossbones.

I never thought that boards looked "right" on the Bones. Yours looks really good with those pegs. As you said, sometimes it comes down to which is more comfortable. I have owned an EG, but I prefer a bike with pegs so I can stretch my legs out. Plus I just like the look of pegs, can you imagine my Deuce with boards?

I agree I like the peg look more than the boards.

Those pegs look great. I'd like to run some on my slim but my legs are short so it makes it tough. Looks good.

Can you stretch your legs out and rest them on those pegs? I love how the BMX style pegs look, but on longer rides I like to lay my feet on the pegs, and just dont know how those would feel...

For me they are in the perfect position to rest my heel on while cruising down the freeway. I was going to do the 3 inch extensions but then I wouldn't be able to stretch out.

I just got a set of forward controls from an '09 Night Train - they should be here next week.

Any modifications to the brake line or shift linkage?
