tccarl - those pipes look fantastic on your bike. Well done.

A favor to ask please - could you please snap a bunch of close up pictures of the rear cylinder headpipe? I'm looking for details about how it routes to the left of the motorcycle and wraps around the primary housing. Does the Freedom kit come with a bent shift linkage, similar to that of the Samson pipes?

I had Samson 42" Super Cholos on my 03 Heritage Springer. Now I've got an 06 Springer Classic that needs the fishtail treatment, but in light of the recent threads, I can't bring myself to even consider Samson pipes.

The reason I'm looking for the pictures is that I've moved my coil to the horn mount and also run a jockey shift. It's exactly the same as it needed to be to work with Samson's exhaust system, so I'm guessing it will be pretty close for the Freedom Performance one as well.

Much appreciated, and again, nice work!

Redbeard, thanks! Appreciate it. I'll take some pics for u this evening, but I have a LaBriola tank shift setup on mine and with the bent shift linkage there is plenty of room. U can even fit the stock one on it and still run em.

Cool. I've got a La Briola set up for the jockey. I used the same specs that I used for the Samsons I had before. Basically, the shifter arm is 1'' taller before it bends outwards because I've rolled the rear transmission shift lever backwards (clockwise) 1 tooth, which clears the rear headpipe on the downshifts. Without the extra inch of height before the bend, it would hit the inner primary housing on upshifts. Also, for upshifts, I had to notch a semi-circle out of the edge of the heatshield.

Anyway, I digress. I appreciate any pictures you can share. Trying not to have to reinvent the wheel.

OK Redbeard... I got a couple pics for u. Let me know if u need any different angles. I tried to get em to show how much clearance there was between the linkage and pipe.

^^ Awesome! Thank you. Would you mind snapping one or two more that look downward on the pipe so I can get an idea of the clearance between the oil tank, pipe, and outer primary?

Those pictures are really helpful.

TC, that last picture is perfect. All of the shots combined really helped me get a good idea of the pipe routing on the left side.

I think my current set up will work just fine for these pipes. Many thanks!

-btw- you've got yourself one beautiful Heritage Springer there....
