Default Speedo Issues

2000 Softail) Put about 150 miles on today. Everything fine the first 100 miles. After a fuel stop, started the bike and hit the highway. Caught up with traffic, looked down at speedo, had to be going at least 70 and the speedo reads 40. Needle moving sluggish, any ideas?

Pull the speedo sensor out of the trans and wipe the crap off it. It's a magnet and will pick up debris.

Thanks. Tried it and it seemed to work.
