Default Softail Slim

I just became aware that there is such a thing. Totally grabbed my attention. I usually drive my 1979 FLH. But I am considering this SS. What do you folks think of it and Twin Cams in general?

1. Go to you favorite HD dealer
2. Test ride a Slim
3. Either love it or decide it's not for you.
4. Buy one or tell us how awful it was.

I really like mine.

After riding a 1200 Sportster for 5 years, the Softail Slim was definitely an improvement. Take one for a test ride and that should make the picture more clear.

As far as the TC engine. I wasn't too fond of the 103B at first. On the interstate going 70 in 6th gear, it is great. In the city, it felt sluggish when compared to the 1200 EVO. After doing a Stage 1 to the Slim, it really woke the 103 up and now I love it!

I bought a Slim a few months ago. A very fun versatile bike. Great for cruisin around and with a different seat and a windshield it becomes a decent tour.

I do like a nice shovel but if its power your looking for test ride a Slim. With the 103 Twin Cam its like a bicycle with a jet motor.

One thing you'll notice is the twin cam will run hotter than your Shovel. The Slim will also be a bit more compact than our FLH.
