Ditto on the 16" recurve shield. I got mine from LRS (light tint), probably still could use a set of wind deflectors.

Been riding and experimenting for over 40 years, and the best solution I ever found was a full-face helmet, and no windshield. A close second has been the National Cycle Flyscreen.

I don't get any buffetting on my fatboy, either with or without a bullet fairing. But I do wear a full-face helmet.

Your head will get kicked around if you do get a windshield, though. Without one you have straight wind resistance.

FWIW, the HD fangs didn't improve the buffeting on my Heritage so I took 'em off...they are the new style fangs and I'll be happy to sell 'em to get 'em out of my parts room. Must go through paypal and will ship to the 48 US states only. $75.00 and they are yours....that includes UPS shipping. Send me a PM if interested...sorry for the sales pitch, but I'd like to get rid of 'em.

They don't help or improve for some folks. (like me)

I only have slight buffeting, so it really doesn't bother me at all.

I just got a 2010 Deluxe that came with the HD nostalgic windshield and had the same horable problem. I put clear Memphis Shades lowers on and problem solved. Everyone said it would fix it and I wasnt really thinking it would but it did. Highly recommended. I didnt want the funny looking HD fangs. These being clear dont stand out much at all. I did have to get longer bolts for the clamps but no biggie deal.

Default Wind from Around or UNDER the Windshield?

If you're getting wind that comes up *under* your windshield, up your legs and your chin that way, you might want to check out the Desert Dawgs. They slip on over the crash bar and break down a good part of those updrafts (not to mention the added benefit of keeping your legs and feet dry when you run into rain) - they're only $109 bucks (starting) and are easy on/easy off, you can keep 'em in your saddlebags when not using. (Made in the USA too) http://www.leadermotorcycle.com/dese...s-rain-guards/
