Default Oil Cooler - need adaptor or not?

Okay pros...

I want to add a Wimmer billet tube oil cooler to my bike. I know everybody likes Jagg or the HD version...but those are not what I want.

My question is...do I need an adapter behind the oil fiter? I see two "plugged" openings in the engine oil filter mount...are these for an oil cooler?

This is for a 2009 motor

Yes, you need the adapter. Those are manufacturing galleys in the housing. Use those and you'll bypass the filter.

Got it...thanks!

I'm guessing I'll need a Jagg adapter afterall.

Do I need the adapter nipple? P/N11-26352-95A Or is that only for when the bike came with an oil cooler (ie CVO)

Probably need the anti-rotation piece too.... p/N AR4600-C

Call Wimmer. Give them the year and model of your bike and the oil cooler you want and they will tell you every part you need. You can even email them.
