That is just my opinion. As you said, if the cam chain tensioner has not been replaced, I would keep looking.

Thanks for the help. I will be playing Let's Make A Deal with them again in the morning.

NOOOOO.....$10K is too much with a VTX 1300. You would be giving your bike away. $5000 would be the most I would pay, You cannot take their word on checking the tensioners. It is not a minor check. IF they put it in writing they will warrant the cam tensioners I would think about buying it for $6000 and your VTX. IF not there are a whole lot of Heritages out there with far lower miles.

With $13K you can easily buy a later model Heritage 08-10. Anniversary Editions mean nothing, Harley puts one out seemingly every year.

Default My brand new to me 2005 Black Cherry Baby!

I went to negotiate with the dealer this morning on the 2003 Anniversary edition we have been discussing and I walked past something that started calling to me as I passed. I just couldn't leave without her. I have attached photo ( I hope it works) of my brand new to me 2005 Black Cherry Heritage Softail. Thanks to everyone for the advice. It saved me a bit of money and I ended up with a newer bike by 2 years with only 10,000 miles on her. I'm sure many questions will be following. Thanks for that help in advance.

I'd recommend an 07 or later with FI and the 6 speed Trans.
