2003 Heritage anniversary edition To buy or not to buy?
#11
Does the bike have anything extra added to it, or is it pretty much stock? If the bike is mostly stock, I personally wouldn't pay more than Blue Book for it. If Blue Book is $9,300 and they are giving you $3,500 for your trade, then I personally wouldn't pay any more than $5,800.
That is just my opinion. As you said, if the cam chain tensioner has not been replaced, I would keep looking.

Thanks for the help. I will be playing Let's Make A Deal with them again in the morning.

With $13K you can easily buy a later model Heritage 08-10. Anniversary Editions mean nothing, Harley puts one out seemingly every year.

My brand new to me 2005 Black Cherry Baby!
I went to negotiate with the dealer this morning on the 2003 Anniversary edition we have been discussing and I walked past something that started calling to me as I passed. I just couldn't leave without her. I have attached photo ( I hope it works) of my brand new to me 2005 Black Cherry Heritage Softail. Thanks to everyone for the advice. It saved me a bit of money and I ended up with a newer bike by 2 years with only 10,000 miles on her. I'm sure many questions will be following. Thanks for that help in advance.
