This is what I have and I like it a lot. It is a bit loud, but that is because they leave a lot of room around the ears- which I like. I put ear plugs in anyway. Actually drummer ear plugs because they allow the low frequencies in and the high frequencies are filtered. The air flow is pretty good as well. As others have said, though, fit is the most important. I couldn't fit in the Arai and many others. All due to head shape.

You could go with the Bitwell Gringo. Nice lid for the price for sure, and some cool colors.

But the Bullitt really is a great lid.

I tried the Gringo for a while and felt really enclosed and the eye port was too narrow for visibility I like in the city.

The Bullitt feels like you are riding with a 3/4, great visibility and venting. Incredibly lightweight too.

I find it worth the 400 bones, but YMMV.

I love the look of the Bullitt, but have too many other projects that need the $$$

I have the Shoei RF-1000 and like it a lot. Very comfortable with lots of ventilation. Pretty light weight as well.

+1 Different helmets fit different shaped heads. And go for as light as you can afford. If it isn't comfortable, you're not going to like it. I have a matte black Scorpion EX0-1000. Fits good, looks good, was cheap, but it's too damn heavy. If I had the money, I'd get an Arai or Shoei.

Disclaimer. I only wear it when riding my sport bike. I wear a beanie when riding my Harley even though I should know better. Met a guy who had a low speed crash who busted up his face pretty bad. Imagine dragging your face on the pavement for a few hundred yards.

I have an HJC modular IS-MAX BT which was around $200. It has good ventilation and built in sunglasses. But whatever helmet you choose I think black or matte black look good with cruisers.

Have a modular black scorpion exo900.
IIt is worth its costs. The only negative point (imo) is the wind noise when driving over 100 km/h.

I had once to get support from Scorpion US (I broque a pièce of the modular articulation by my fault), Scorpion was very reactive and sent one spare to Switzerland free of charge !
I rarely saw this level of customer service and this is worth gold to me !

I love my wife too much to put fashion or vanity ahead of my safety.
I'm lucky she wants me to come home each day.

So, I guess I "dress" to impress her and not some weekend tough guy.

I have a watermelon head and i've always had good luck with HJC helmets. currently using their CL-Max II modular in matte black. Don't know if it "looks good on a cruiser", but that's at the bottom of the list of things a helmet needs to do in my mind.
