I just upgraded the 04 Heritage to a 09 Road King

In 8 months we have bought 4 bikes...... Are we hooked????

 

I thought the whole purpose of riding was escaping the wife's nagging!?!

"Slow down ... you're going too fast ... you're riding too close to that truck ... did you switch the gas off ... do you know where we are now ... why don't you just stop and look at the map ... I need to go to the ladies room".

You must be newly wed ...

If it cant be said with hand signals, is it really worth saying on a ride? Me ... I'm like a neanderthal in the zone when it come to communication on a long one, and a short ride through traffic would have so many expletives, any coms system would need a bleep function.

Does anyone do a voice control to bike system yet ... "Siri, indicate left", "Siri, find me the nearest gas pump", "Siri, shift to fifth ... no, I said fifth not first you dumb brick, ai-yeee!!!"

It sounds like you & the wife are really enjoying your rides. I think its great that you two are sharing something in common.


I am picking up a 2009 XL883N tonight for my girlfriend to start riding as soon as she has taken her riding class (this coming weekend). It has pretty much all of the mods she wanted on a bike. Once she gets a little practice in, we will be hitting the roads together.

 

Well the first post of mine pretty much tells the story- we got what we want now.

We have snowmobile to snowmobile communicators for 8 years. They have been sitting in the drawer for 7 years

 

Me, I'm still the teenager.

Riding with girls is a great way to spend hours being a gentleman and allow them to go first ... and checking out their *** all the way. Can't do that in an automobile.

Mind you, motorcycles haven't got rear seats. *Sigh* ... ah, for the joys of youth.
