Default New bike, probably nothing

Picked up a 2014 Fb Lo and am troubled by something. When I hit the run button, I don't hear the mechanical "purr" (as the manual describes it) and the engine oil light does not come off, even after a minute. The light comes off when I start the bike, but not before. I seem to remember with my other bike that the light would come off after about 5-7 seconds.

Is this something to be concerned with?

FWIW, the oil (red) indicator doesn't go out until motor reaches proper operational pressure (i.e. running). The check engine (amber) illuminates for a few seconds after run switch toggle and goes out, unless there's a stored code. If your bike's starting and running fine, the fuel's cycling...might be quiet to hear. Otherwise, if you feel there's a problem, take bike back for dealer check.

Congrats on the FB tho - ride-on!
