This is my first FI bike. If I switch out the stock air intake on my Softail Slim for a tornado air type intake do I need to do anything with the FI settings? Not looking for increased power-just want the stock air cleaner out of my way.

Lot of good answers on here if you use the search function as this has been asked a LOT of times before. Generally no would be the answer. Intake on its own no tune, intake and exhaust tune.

 

You should be ok with just air cleaner but if you do exhaust you'll need a remap or tuner

 

What's a tornado intake?

 

If I could figure out how to post pictures I would attach one. They are like a spike air cleaner without the spike. They have one for the Slim- HD calls it a 'heavy breather' air cleaner.
