I just learned that my carbs were "sneezing" so I brought my service manual to my buddy's house to read up on vacuum leaks and how to fix them. when i was leaving, i left the service manual on my bumper and drove off. I just realized it about an hour ago and went back to check if it was there. it is not at my friend's place and he said he didn't see it. Does anyone know where I can get a 1999 service manual instead of having to spend the $60 again?

 

Unless you had insurance on the manual I would say no. If there was a way wouldn't you have done that in the first place?

 

Check ebay. I got a complete service manual for an 06'/07' softail for $10. It was 500+ pages in pdf.

 

it'll take you some work, but I have no doubt you can snag a download. I did for my '08.

 

i've scoured the internet for manuals. I came across a PDF for 84-99 softails. this manual is pretty general and digital copy is hard to work with. im gonna use it for now and see if my manual turns up in a little while. if not, then gotta purchase another one
