Default My 2001 Deuce

I bought this Deuce in May with 1700 miles and have ridden about 2000 miles since. The motor is stock. Not sure about the pipes (Sampson Ground Pounders?). I was forced to put a Cobra tuner on it to compensate for the stage 1 tuning (it ran poorly at part throttle). So far it has been great!

Default Blue Heaven Deuce

Bought my Deuce to set it up as a "cruiser-touring" bike. Wanted just a hint of 60s "extended chopper" styling for nostalgia and a slight improvement in high speed stability.

Neck has three degree "rake cups" installed and four inch longer tubes. Handling is like it is on rails. Turning radius is fine and I can do a U-turn in a two lane road no problem without putting feet down.

Have read all the comments which say the Deuce tank and rear fender are the wrong shape.

I am not sure what is wrong with the eye sight of those holding that opinion.

To me the Deuce is one sleek chromed out big bike that is a keeper. A real all-rounder that I take out on the road for weeks at a time having some great adventures on typical ten hour riding days (and more).

What say you?

Working on a photo. Didn't come out right so I have to try again, but here's what I have.

FXSTD - Bought new in 2000. SE high torque engine with 110 HP & TQ. HD numbered tins. "16 gauge" SE 2-1-2 pipes. Corbin solo saddle. Primary ride to work; now about 55k very reliable total miles. Occasional weekend rides under 100 miles. Most weekend and longer rides on my '08 Roadglide. My Deuce always draws compliments - every ride.
