No cabling was required at all, the only thing needed to be done is the brake line moved up from its holder (see pic)

Doesn't flap about then?

I've bought some Beach bars (HD), but may go your route, as it also looks great and way less effing about, not to mention cost-free.

Would you mind posting a pic of the bars from your saddle position please?

How much less are you reaching forward now would you estimate?

It does not flap around as it is hard metal pipe.

The reach is reduced but not a lot, but a lot more comfortable as it also raises them up a bit.

Sounds ideal to me. May even be able to get away without the DG Reduced Reach seat then. I don't need much, maybe 1 ½ inches and I'll be fine.

For your information, wide-glide and Fatboy-Lo use the same bars, I just got them powder coated in gloss black

1.25" is the stock diameter as mentioned above. The Breakout, Fatboy, Fatboy Lo, CVO Deluxe, Fatbob, and Road King all use 1.25" diameter bars from the factory as far as I know.

Lots of beautiful breakouts in this thread. To be honest I have gotten many of the ideas for my bike from all of your bikes. Finally finished everything that I am going to do (for now anyway) so I thought I'd throw her in the mix.
