got a parts manual?
A few weeks ago I installed the curved, side-mount license bracket and chrome LED frame from Accufast2D and Custom Dynamics (respectively) and wanted to delete the factory mount. But, I didn't want the standoffs to be different lengths, so I went to the dealer to find out the PN of the RH standoff. He gave me the number (69438-06) and I ordered it from boardtracker thinking I'd save a buck or 2 and maybe get it quicker (which I didn't).
Anyway, the part showed up last Saturday and I just got around to installing it tonight...the frickin' thing is a good 3/8-1/2" longer than the stock, RH standoff...
It doesn't look too bad from 10' away, but since I know about it, it bugs me. Does anyone know the right PN to order? I should have known something was wrong when the factory bolt was a bit too short...

The RH standoff you ordered is longer than the RH standoff that came on the bike? That doesn't make sense man.
I did mine different. I used two of the short LH standoffs ... gets the lights in close to the fender struts. I'll see if I can dig up the info on part numbers later this morning when I get back home. It's late and I'm at work now (0200).

- He looked up the standoff for a different bike assuming it was the same
- He looked up the wrong year of BO and they changed at some point?
Who knows...
A guy on the BO Facebook page said that he used PN 67800224 and it looks like the correct part. Maybe you can verify that for me when you get the chance?

Yeah, I'm not sure what happened. I can think of 2 instances that led to me getting the wrong part:

OK, 67800224 is the longer standoff - used on the right side of US bikes and on BOTH sides of export bikes.
67800223 is the short standoff used on the LEFT side of US bikes. That's what I used on the RIGHT side on my bike when I did my plate relocation. I used the same eBay plate bracket and CD plate frame that you used, fwiw.
For the dudes thinking about the short standoffs, there is one thing to be aware of .... the short standoff has a slightly smaller "footprint" than the long standoff. This leaves a small gap at the front of the standoff/strut surface once everything is screwed together. It isn't noticeable unless you know what to look for and you are up close and REALLY taking a HARD look at how the taillight/standoff/strut all fit together.
I'll try to get a few photos up tomorrow if anyone wants to see what I'm talkin' 'bout ... Willis

Clicked some pics after some mods and a good warm sponge bath. Mods: Skull and chain timing/primary covers, Willie G Chrome gas cap, Willie G Pivot bolt covers, Chrome frame inserts, Chrome lower belt guard, Avon Custom Contour Spiked shifter/pegs/grips and chrome spiked frame bolts. I already had the Bassani 2 into 1 Road Rage short/chrome, SE tuner, SE big breather, SE stage II. Time to strut that bad biatch at 2014 San Antonio Fiesta!
