Cool memorial day blowout

Yep guys i have it on very good authority that he blowout will make a rousing come back this year. I was there the year the law tried to shut it down, well a new day has arose and the new authoritys have realized how much MONEY this event brings in to the local area. If you ever attendend a years past blowout then you know first hand this can be a right rowdy party down event. Think about the admission price like this- it's only $20 a day for field events, racing, bike show, bikini(ha)contest, wet t shirt contest and some live entertainment- i have personally heard one of the bands scheduled and they are really good performers. Besides it aslo goes to some very deserving charities! The coast has made a come back since katrina- we now have hotels, casinos, wonderful restaurants and some good waterin holes! It's held at an 100 acre dragstrip- plenty of room and there are vendors too. Ya'll come on down and try it out. I'll be there partyin my butt off!

Well --- I am curious. Did anyone go to this year's blowout? The weather was not great in southern Mississippi this weekend.

Saw an article on the Sun Herald website Saturday. They were saying weather and the economy was the reason for the poor turn out on Saturday. Also saw a post from someone that was in the area( Gulfport in general) on Sunday, said they saw maybe 4 bikes riding around, compared to hundreds you would see before things got bad.

Would like to see a reply from someone that actually went this year.

Last year was bad, this year was really bad. We have had a run of bad luck the last several years. A Sheriff that appointed himself as the bikers personal savior, Hurricane Katrina and two new rallies within 150 miles on the same weekend and now the economy in the crapper. But the Sheriff is gone Katrina is history and the Mississippi Coast is coming back strong. A good time was had by all this year. I did not encounter one road block outside the event. And inside the fence at the rally people were free to wear anything they wanted (or not!) The Blowout will be back. We went from 10s of thousands back in the nineties to just a few thousand this year. Hey, life ain't always roses. All I can say is if you were not at the Blowout this year, then you just missed it. See you next year!!!

Smile blow-out 2009 up-date

I went to the Blow-out this year 2009> I had a great time but the crowd was small. I went in 2004 and It was awsome.... this year we made our own party , We can make a party no matter where we are. The wet t-shirt contest was really good I thought, My husband enjoyed it alot. Lots of pretty girls this year unlike other years.. Its not the quantity of **** its the quality.... Ha ha I-m just a women though!!!! Took some s-weet pictures of all the girls w my husband he enjoyed that, they were very friendly. Also saw alot of girls on bikes this year, pretty cool.... The weather was great, not to hot, a little overcast. We came from New orleans. The ride was great on the way there but got a wet *** on the way home Monday.... Thats okay though it was still alot of fun!!! I hope it returns to 2004 one day, but untill then we are going to try something new next time. We are all going to Sandy Hook in September, we will see .... One thing That I thought was lame was these retard security people on gulf-carts riding up and down the street in front of where we camped. I/d rather see bikes.... There wasn't alot of bikes riding up and down getting crazy like in years past. They did not bother us in any way, but they though thier **** didn't stink either... Do away with all the security people, They sucked!!! I found alot of people did not come on their bikes.. It was mostly people camping . The people next to us sucked !!! They were from Texas. They did not come out their camper , and then only to go gamble on the coast. Oh they sucked!!! Oh well trying something new next time, Oh and the drag racing was cool... jvignes

Thumbs up Gulfport Memorial Day Blowout

Blowout 2010...NO MORE SHERRIFF GEORGE PAYNE..he is Gone... he single handedly ruined the great tradition of the Gulfport Memorial Day Blowout...The word is getting out that there is LITERALLY a NEW sherriff in town..OUTSIDE THE GATE!! when u have a sheriff determined to keep "bikers" out of "his town".. he now knows...its not his town anymore...and BIKERS ARE WELCOME TO THE MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST.

There are NEW PRICES i saw on a flyer...@gulfportmemorialdayblowout.com

As for not having a party...ive been 2006,7,8,9, and will be there for 2010..There is partying in every nook an cranny..and lots of live entertainment to juice up the crowd...there is truckstop , 3convinence stores, liquor store fast food restraunts and hotels within 1/2 mile..not to mention all the local bars that have "events to welcome bikers" it is a rip roarin time!

now alot of folks do make their way to sandy hook, if thats ur thing..no security, no rules ,no restrictions...head on up there... cuz there are a few basic rules at the Gulfport Blowout to protect the integrity of the event and the people who attend.

SO RATHER THAN ASK SOMEONES OPINION U DONT KNOW...WHY NOT LOAD UP - SEEK THE ADVENTURE and experience it for yourself..and you be the judge...28 years... must be doin something right!! Party On!!
