Hey Slim, Just let us know if you see property that you like. We can give you the pros and cons of the area. I will say that there is a lot more congestion/traffic in north Raleigh area.

 

What about Sims area, Zebulon,,,70MPH ride straight to Raleigh? I guess it depends where you job is gonna be...I hate traffic...Lived in Toronto for 6 years and had to get back to the country.

 

If you're coming to the Raleigh area, from anywhere NEAR Atlanta.... don't worry about traffic..... this area is "congested" compared to most of NC (except Charlotte) but after what you have seen... it's like a Sunday drive , every day.

North Raleigh, is an easy commute to the RTP, using I-540, and select side roads.
Virgina's Blue Ridge Parkway, is 150 miles north of the city, NC's portion is 3-4 hours away, depending on route, and the NC coast is also 3-5 hours away, depending on route, and where you go. Ray Price, Shelton in Durham, and Rocky Mount all have active HOG chapters, as does the CBA, CMA, SCRC, RETREADS etc.... no lack for riding buddies in this area... and a whole lot more "I ride alone" types.
