Ga, NC, SC, Va riding roads and points of interest?
Me and my girl are planning a ride from Florida to Mass... probably in August.
We are looking for roads and points of interest/stops along the way. We want to stay on improved secondary roads for the most part.
We will be leaving from Daytona Beach and going up through Georgia to hit the Appalachians. Maybe even hitting them in northeast Alabama. We do not know yet.
But we will for sure be visiting the Deals Gap/Smokey Mountain areas in Tennessee and NC and generally will head up through Cherokee National Forest in NC and then on to Skyline Dr in Va.
Then eventually through the Poconas in Pa, Catskills in NY, and then on into Mass.
If you have any must-see rides, areas, vistas, etc along the way, I'd appreciate any info you could pass along!

There are pros and cons to all the :great rides in the area that you will be going through ... Two up riding I'd skip the Dragon ( nice ride but focus is extremely important and definitely stay off on weekends and holidays ... Cherohala would be a better choice ... The BRP is a more relaxed ride with many scenic turn outs ... Be sure of your footing when stooping at a turnout ... The Skyline Drive is a nice ride with reduced a reduced speed limit that is ( at least was ) rigorously enforced ... America Rides offer excellent maps of the area ... https://americaridesmaps.com/
