Northern Virginia Bike Nights
#21
Hey! So this is kind of an older thread now, (wedding, honeymoon, you know - other distractions, haha) but just to get a head count, what the best day of the week for everyone? Some places have deal nights, and I may be able to recommend a few and get something together soon. I just checked out a place last night that was great so let's get something going, weekly, twice monthly, whatever works!

Quaker steaks on Wednesday evenings. They are in the Central Park right next to the Chucky Cheese. Not to much activity now with the crappy weather, but when things warm up, its a fairly large crowd. Mostly non-club riders, some patches. I haven't heard of any problems there. Just good outdoor seating if ya want with good view of the bike parking area. Good food and brew.

This does appear to be an issue in NoVA. No real place that bikers gather. My dad and I like City Tavern in Manassas off Main st. It's close by Whitts and gets some bikers. Not sure of a gathering, but food is decent, beer is ...weelll beer. Not too expensive. You guys should give it a try if in the area.

So I'm going to wing it and schedule something and see who shows up, haha.
If anyone would like to join, on Wednesday the 23rd I'll be at TapHouse in Sterling Va at 5pm. Great stop for a brew, excellent food and best of all, great scenery for a few bikes on the patio.
Possibly next Saturday (26th) I'll be at The Q Company in Leesburg Va at around 5pm. Great BBQ and again the key ingredient, great scenery for bikes.
If anyone wants to join, let me know. These are just two of many places that I'd like to start something for those that are free and want to hang out for a little while. If we can get at least 5ish regular people then maybe I can swing some guaranteed "premium" parking for us, since discounts are harder to swing, haha.
All bikes would be welcome (my one buddy rolls with a sport bike). Weather permitting obviously and hope to see some of you all there!
