Natchez Trace Parkway info ???
Looks kinda like a cool ride anyone ever done this route and can provide any info ? Anything to avoid or a must see ? Considering starting in Natchez heading north to Nashville beltway and dropping back to Chattanooga. It's a long way from Fla so any input would be helpful.

I've done it. No stop signs, no red lights, no billboards. Speed limit if I remember is 45-50 and strictly inforced. There is a lot of historical areas along the way with markers and signs, if your into that. One thing you MUST do is stop at the "Old Country Store" Mr. D makes the best Fried Chicken I have ever tasted plus the home made Peach Cobbler! Damn!

there are B&B all the way up. there is also no amenities on the Trace. exits can be far apart and another 10 plus miles to gas off the Trace.
Wild Life is abundant and beautiful. scenic overlooks and pull offs every so often. No Commercial traffic but you may pass bubba in his RV. Awesome trip just pack a Lunch and plenty of water. if you are the true outdoors man there are primitive bicycle camp grounds off the road every 40 miles but there may only be a dirt trail to it. camping is free all the way up but there may be restrictions of where to pop a tent.
there is a huge amount of maps and info online for your viewing pleasure. i have a huge folder of info i put together for doing the trip on a bicycle.
have fun!

You can do it in 2 days easy. I started in Natchez and ended in Franklin TN. Don't expect too many curves. Some at the beginning and the northern end but the road is relatively straight. Be cautious of wildlife. I wouldn't ride it after dark and be extremely cautious at dusk. Lots of deer along the road. Don't miss The Tomato Place just outside of Vicksburg. It's off the parkway but worth the side trip. Best food and fruit smoothies you will have anywhere on the Trace.
