I went from having my dad's shop and tools then moved and had a friends garage. Being in Dallas now I have nowhere other than to take it to the dealer as I live in an apartment complex. I really dont want to do an oil change in the middle of a parking lot and therefore was looking at DIY garages. It would kill me to let the dealership do my oil changes (especially because I stock up and buy filters and oil for the next 4 changes at once). Ive done internet searches but sometimes the best places are more word of mouth.

tl;dr: Dont want to change my oil in a parking lot. Places I can take the bike (DIY garages or motorcycle coops) to have oil disposal where I can do light work such as oil changes.

 

i also wish there was a place for bikers to go wrench on their bikes and have a brew around dallas but i havent seen any like that. i usually do my work in my parking garage motorcycle area but for big stuff i take my bike to my buddy in grapevine. thats your best option if you have a friend with a garage

 

I wasn't getting much feedback so I just started looking around. Since ive met some people willing to let me use their loft but there is a place opening (god knows when because the city keeps screwimg them) that will be a diy garage with lifts and such. It'll be a great time to love in Dallas if that comes through.

 

Not sure where you are in Dallas, but in Plano there is a place called Jack Junkies. I've never used them but looked through their site at one time. Doesn't sound too bad of a deal for your situation. I found one more on a google search, called MyBay.

Jack Junkies' site says they have one atv/moto lift for rent.
