Christmas in Santa Fe is one of the most magical times my family ever enjoyed.
Christmas Eve ride north to Taos, spend the day then on the ride back to Santa Fe. You pass through Espanola where the whole town is lit with luminarias and bonfires along the highway. Back in Santa Fe you can walk up Canyon Road in the snow and celebrate with the locals.
Words do not adequately convey the magic that is Santa Fe at Christmas. You gotta do it.
ETA Google images of "Santa Fe Christmas" and you'll see what I mean.
Christmas Eve bonfires in Santa Fe. There are many. Stand around the fires, enjoy hot drinks and sing Christmas carols.
